The City Bike

City bikes are designed for comfort, bringing the rider to an upright riding position, and can be made with fenders, lighting, and racks to carry the groceries home.

My favorite design is one that includes gears only in the rear, cause mostly that’s all one needs for tooling around the city. Designed for swept back bars.

City bikes can also resemble track frames, using a single cog. Some people appreciate the simplicity of track frames, I can design single speeds to meet the needs of the road, rather than riding a track frame on the road, why not build a city bike that can handle the city? These are some of the more interesting bikes to build, options are wide, want fenders for rainy days? Want lights for the ride home after work? Racks, handlebar bags? Or, just the simplicity and clean look of the single geared bike… It’s all possible.
